PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SALE CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER AND RETAIN A COPY OF THESE TERMS AND YOUR ORDER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
The below contract will begin between you and us once confirmation by way of invoice has been sent to you from us in righting (email or post).
Ordering & Payments
You can place your order safely and simply on-line. Payment can be made using all major credit and debit cards through Stripe or Paypal. All orders will be processed by either Jamie or Natalie on the same working day that the order is placed.
All personal information gathered is for the sole purpose of processing customer orders and is not passed to any other party.
Please note that no products will be dispatched until paid for in full, including any postage, and any information required in regards to us claiming VAT relief on your behalf..
Delivery of orders.
Items will be delivered within 10 working days. Note it is your responsibility to ensure clear access for delivery and installation of these items and we will not be liable for any damage caused by inadequate access. Delivery timescales are estimates only unless you have paid for an 'Engineered Delivery' or any other premium delivery service (where this is available). If you do not receive your order within 12 working days of us confirming your order you should notify us and we will investigate why you have not received your delivery.
Our deliveries are carried out by third party couriers, they do not represent us in any way and are only not able to assist with any unpacking or assist you in getting the goods into your home (mobility scooters and power chairs) unless you have opted for our white glove engineer delivery service.
With our white glove delivery service we will arrange a convenient delivery day that best suits you. Your mobility scooter or powered wheelchair will be assembled professionally and demonstrated to you.
**Some mobility products are heavy to lift. Please read the delivery options for each item and don’t lift beyond your capability’s **
You should check the content of each delivery promptly upon receipt. If you believe that items have been sent to you in error, you should contact us immediately, we will have the goods collected on a day that suits you but they must be returned un opened and un used.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent straight away. You will be invoiced for any goods that have been opened or used.

Individuals who are chronically sick or disabled and whose products are for personal use, along with charities where the products are made available to a disabled person for their own personal or domestic use, may be eligible for VAT exemption. The majority of Sheffield Mobility Solutions prices do not include VAT (unless otherwise clearly stated). To claim for VAT exemption you must respond to our email following the invoice, providing your (or the users) name, address and a description of their disability. Assuming you meet these criteria, VAT will not be added. Goods will not be dispatched until this information is received. Returns & Exchanges
You have a statutory 'cooling-off' right, which entitles you to cancel your order within 14 working days of receipt of the goods in your order (certain exceptions apply*). You also have rights in respect of items that are damaged on receipt or faulty. The goods must be returned at your cost within 14 days of your return the goods request arriving with us. This will be acknowledged either in righting (email or post) or by telephone. Our Administration/re stocking charges for the return of goods are listed below. All products must be returned complete, unused, in an undamaged state and in their original packing. If products are not returned in their original condition on return, Sheffield Mobility Solutions reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement of any product(s). This charge may include the cost of parts, materials, labor and any subsequent loss to Sheffield Mobility Solutions. Please call us on 0114 2315131 if you would like us to arrange a courier to collect the goods, as stated above this will be at your cost and the condition of goods will still be your responsibility until they arrive back to our premises. All refunds will be processed (minus any fees incurred) within 10 working days by the original method of payment following receipt of goods.
Administration/ re stocking Charges
All items under £60* = £6
All items £60 or more* = 10% of original goods cost
Labor fees = £40 hour
Any parts that are needed to put the equipment back to its original condition so not to cause a loss to Sheffield Mobility Solutions or affect the resale value of the returned goods will only ever be charged to you at the cost price to Sheffield Mobility Solution plus any VAT if applicable.

Due to health and safety and hygiene regulations please note these items are non-refundable unless faulty beyond reasonable repair. IMPORTANT NOTE-Your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations are to have the opportunity to inspect items you receive from us. Unless it is necessary to remove any hygiene seal or wrapping to inspect or assess an item, removal of such packaging shall be deemed to constitute a failure on your part to keep the items in reasonable condition and you will be in breach of your legal obligations. We are entitled to exercise our statutory rights in recovering any losses we incur in this respect.
Once we receive notice from you that you wish to cancel your order we will refund the purchase price for that item together with the packing and postage / delivery charge you paid to us for that item (if any). If you paid for one of the special delivery options such as Engineered Delivery we will only refund the basic delivery charge that would have been payable for that item. You will pay the cost of returning the item to us.
The majority of our products are guaranteed for twelve months by the manufacturer. Our warranty does not cover items used outside of Mainland UK and does not include the cost for the hire of a replacement product(s). For items purchased outside of mainland UK, we can provide a return to base warranty at our discretion and at your cost. Every effort is taken to ensure that the product supplied corresponds as closely as possible to the pictures illustrated on our website and catalogue but they may vary due to unique and characteristic, variations of materials. Sheffield Mobility Solutions are not responsible for any such variations, including but not limited to the following:
Product colour and shade may vary from one manufacturing batch to the another.
Fabric patterns are not matched unless stated on labeling.
We reserve the right to make any changes to product specifications (internal or external) and any other changes where necessary.

The price of the Goods is the price set out on the Website. All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling. The price of the Goods is exclusive of the costs and charges of packaging, insurance and transport of the Goods, which shall be invoiced to you separately. The price of the Goods is exclusive of VAT.
Most items that we sell come with between 6 -24months manufacturer’s guarantee. We offer a free parts and labor warranty at your door within 20 miles of Sheffield but for customers that are further afield we provide two levels of warranty.
Return to base warranty.
Although the parts and labor will be included, you will be responsible to return the goods to us at your cost for any repair work that may need to be carried out.
Door step warranty
An engineer will be sent out to you to repair your equipment with no charge, usually you equipment will be repaired there and then, however if your item has to be returned for repair we will not be able to leave you with courtesy equipment, but we will endeavor to get your equipment back to you as soon as we can. The door step warranty will cover up to 3 un related call outs per year
With a standard delivery Sheffield Mobility Solutions cannot take any responsibility for products assembled or fitted incorrectly. If a product does not function properly on arrival, please call us on 0114 231 51 31 immediately for guidance.
Batteries come with 12 months warranty: If you detect a problem regarding the loss of performance of your scooter, in the first instance it will be necessary for you to have the batteries ‘slow discharge tested’. This can be carried out by most mobility shops. A copy of the test will need to be either emailed or posted to email@example.com and, if the batteries are found to be faulty, we will replace them under warranty and arrange collection of the faulty ones.
Please be advised that Sheffield Mobility Solutions cannot take responsibility for the day to day maintenance of customers’ scooters and it is recommended that mobility scooters/ power chairs/ stair lifts/ walkers are serviced once a year. In addition, parts which are subjected to normal wear and tear, accidental damage, neglect or misuse are excluded from the manufacturer’s warranty. Normal wear and tear includes tyres, chassis covers, bulbs and seat coverings. Guarantees are non-transferable. Failure to maintain the brushes in the motor could void the scooter or power chair warranty. These should be inspected every 12 months or sooner if your scooter is not operating smoothly. Any inspection or maintenance should be carried out by a mobility engineer. Controllers should be kept clean and protected from water and rain. We are unable to accept responsibility if; A scooter, power chair, stair lift, bath lift, walker or wheelchair is not maintained as per the manufacturer’s guidelines laid out in the user manual; Failure to use the manufacturer’s parts or; If any alterations or amendments have been carried out on the product.
The distance you can expect from you equipment will be greatly influenced by weight and terrain, and the maximum range is given based on a uniformed manufactures test.
